Day of the Dead
- What is the difference between Nov. 1st and Nov. 2nd?
November 1st represent the deceased infant and children/ November 2nd represent those who had died as adults
- Why do participants wear shells or noisemakers on the clothing or jewelry?
- Why do some people paint only half of their face?
(The half decorated face recognizes this.)
- How can you represent some of the customs in your art, design or photography.

Save Water PSA/Poster
Conserve Water PSA Poster Designed by: Tayah F ©2015
"What's the big deal"
Water is very important for our everyday lives, it makes up 70% of the earths surface 96.5% of that 70% is salt water making up our oceans. The actual water that supplies all life on earth is the remaining 3.5% or maybe even less.
"Why should I care"
This issue is very serious and we need to do something because its already facing billions of people in many cities and rural areas around the world and what are we going to do when all the water is gone.
"What do you want me to do?"
What I learned
This project and the research that I did I learned a lot about California drought, things that I never really thought about, little things that I chose to ignore is backfiring and California and the rest of the United States is in danger. Water i what makes up 70% of earth surface, so this tells me that water is very important and we choose to waist it.

What Sociologists Do
Sociologists study society and social behavior by examining the groups, cultures, organizations, social institutions, and processes that people develop.
Work Environment
Most sociologists work in research organizations, colleges and universities, state and local government, and consulting service firms. They typically work full time during regular business hours.
How to Become a Sociologist
Most sociology jobs require a master’s degree or Ph.D. Many bachelor’s degree holders will find positions in related fields, such as social services, education, or public policy.
Pay
The median annual wage for sociologists was $74,960 in May 2012.
Job Outlook
Employment of sociologists is projected to grow 15 percent from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations. However, because it is a small occupation, the fast growth will result in only about 400 new jobs over the 10-year period. As a result, candidates should expect very strong competition for jobs.
